The Cubs reportedly closed a deal with one of their arbitration-eligible players on Thursday, agreeing with infielder Jeff Baker on a one-year, $1.175 million contract. cited a source in reporting the agreement Thursday afternoon, about 10 hours before the deadline for teams to tender contracts to unsigned players under their control.
