One day after the Northwestern University Wildcats and University of Illinois Fighting Illini square off in the Allstate Wrigleyville Classic, fans will be able to play football at the Friendly Confines as part of "Touchdown on Wrigley Field" to benefit Chicago Cubs Charities.

The Allstate Wrigleyville Classic marks the return of football to Wrigley Field for the first time since the Chicago Bears played in 1970. "Touchdown on Wrigley Field" allows fans to toss a football, race down the sidelines or sip hot chocolate on Wrigley Field's football gridiron the day following the Northwestern vs. Illinois match-up. Tickets for the November 21 event are $50 per session. Sessions begin at 10 a.m. and continue hourly through 3 p.m. Guest tickets are also available for $15 each and include access to the stadium for those who wish to watch but not participate on the field. Children two years of age and under do not need a guest ticket to enter the stadium.

"This is a great opportunity to play on the field where Gayle Sayers scored six touchdowns in one game as a rookie and where Dick Butkus controlled the middle of the Bears defense," said Mike Lufrano, Cubs senior vice president of Community Affairs. "It is a chance to see Wrigley Field like never before and to experience the thrill of football in the Friendly Confines."

A limited number of Wrigleyville Classic/Chicago Cubs commemorative footballs will be available for purchase for $10.

"Touchdown on Wrigley Field" will take place as weather permits and the event is subject to cancellation. Participants will be refunded in the event of cancellation. Tickets go on sale today. To purchase, visit cubs.com or call 773-404-CUBS.
